We've only just arrived home. Tons of pics and a review to come, but in the meantime, here is the setlist:
Push Me Around Talking It's A Lie Zero Out of My Face Denied Put On Your Shoes Sadr City Blues Kill Me Now Cut Your Brakes Two Sisters
"Talking", "Out of My Face", and "Kill Me Now" were all BRAND NEW songs the guys wrote this past week, and all three of them were fantastic!!!!
Here is a taste of "It's A Lie" and "Two Sisters":
And here is a great review by rock critic Gail Worley, who had neither seen nor heard FP prior to this gig!
=====Update======
Here are a sampling of our favorite pics from the show. All the rest can be viewed here: http://s282.photobucket.com/albums/kk261....vie w=slideshow

They said that they needed to make room for some of the newer songs. We had actually brought up Telephone Unknown, and Joe said that he did want to play it, but the newer material ruled out.

All the new songs just rocked. Out of My Face was a bit slow...but maybe it just has to grow on me. Zero really has developed into a GREAT song. It was my fave from Arlene's and I think it was my fave from Mercury as well. Surprised to see the complete lyrical change in Cut Your Brakes.
This makes me want MORE!!

I liked Denied the best, and the new lyrics for Cut Your Brakes are much easier to remember! You would not have been able to tell which songs were just written, they sounded like they have been playing them for years!

My fave was Zero........that guitar just ROCKS! Oh and I also like, what I call, "the la, la, la" song. The call and response part was alot of fun. What IS the name of that song?

That was the new version of "Cut Your Brakes". They rearranged the song and changed the lyrics.

You know, I wasn't really liking the lyric change in Cut Your Brakes either, but I couldn't stopped humming it the rest of the night.
I think this may have been one of the best FP gig's I've ever been to. The new songs rocked and the re-tooled versions of Zero and Denied were fantastic. The entire show just ROCKED!!!!! Even It's A Lie and Two Sisters felt like they had a new life to them! I can't wait for the new album.

I'm trying to figure out if I have a favorite... And I can't! All the songs were so good. If I have to pick, I would probably say Zero but I liked them all!

Just came back from NYC and what a great night of music and people! I say that because the crowd was great! Really receptive of the new stuff not heard since its infancy back in Feb and the stuff just created this week! I was a bit disappointed that Humanoid didnt make the set list....glad for the metamorphosed tracks Zero and Denied. I think it was also hard for me to choose a track I liked..probably would choose Zero. I missed the older version of "Cut the Brakes," I just liked that one better then this one. Overall, I thought the energy of the place ROCKED! I would rank this show pretty high up there! Also, great to see so many friends in attendance! Liz
