Mmm, interesting topic Pilotadam. Let's see.... I don't have any full on phobias, but perhaps a touch of pyrophobia. I was terrified by a fire in a neighbour's house as a child. I still remember seeing the flames billowing out of the windows and the smell of the smoke. Scary! I have been nervous of open fires ever since. Your post encouraged me to check out a phobia list and I noticed one that Joe Sumner definately does not suffer from; catapedaphobia, the fear of jumping!

What's the name of fear of dark, but only in forest or somewhere at countryside? I'm not afraid of anything or anyone in cities, but if you wanna kill me, just leave me all alone in forest at night!!! I have no idea where did it come from, I just have feeling there's something bad there waiting just for me... I know, there's much bigger chance to get hurt by people in town than animals in nature, but still.. I always have problems when we are spending time with friends somewhere at cottage in mountains and i need to pee (which is usualy outside - u know, wild life, haha) or i wanna go for a cigarette... The night is definitely darker there, you cannot see anything (not like in the cities with all those lights) maybe that's the reason?

Well Kinga, I have done some research and you may have what is called -------------------------
[glow=red,2,300]Nyctohylophobia[/glow]- the fear of woodland or open spaces in the dark!
I live in the countryside and yes your right it is much darker at night than in large towns or cities!!!
We can even see the STARS!!!!

If there is a clinical term for "fear of having one's throat cut", then I definitely have that.
Otherwise, I don't have much by way of phobias...but there are a LOT of things I detest.

I think it's funny when people are afraid of things that couldn't possibly hurt you, like kittens. How can anyone be scared of fuzzy wuzzy kittens?!?

Well Thanks for posting,
Firstly, drinksmithwicks, There must be a phobia of being cut on the throat or neck!
The only phobia I could find vagilly think of to do with the throat is ----------- [glow=red,2,300]Dentophobia- Fear of dentists. (throat)[/glow]
If you find the real name for the phobia please leave a post! Thanks
Now then, londonmews! There is actually a phobia of cats and Kittens!!! (its funny isn't it)
The phobia name is----------- [glow=red,2,300]Felinophobia[/glow] the fear of household cats!!! LMAO!!!
Although there is a phobia of wild cats!!! a bit more dangerous I think!!! ------------ [glow=red,2,300]Ailurophobia[/glow]

The only phobia I could find vagilly think of to do with the throat is ----------- [glow=red,2,300] Dentophobia- Fear of dentists. (throat)[/glow] No, no fear of dentists. I just have this sickening fear of having a sharp object slice through my neck, be it of my own volition or anothers. Of course, someone else doing it would be even scarier, as chances are, I wouldn't see them do it. But on the flipside, watching it happen to other people on horror flicks doesn't bother me in the slightest.

well, i don't have real phobia of being cut on the throat or neck, but always have a strange and not very pleasant feeling when seeing it on TV (but I don't mind if Bruce Willis kills 100 people with gun! LOL!) ... I sometimes put my hand to my neck, like to protect myself... Would def. put this to the end of list "How I wanna die"!!!
Or it IS a phobia.?!
