Today wasn't the best of days so tonight I was in need of some therapy - Santa's Boyfriend therapy. In a video interview The Edge once said that his favourite U2 tracks were those that were easy to listen to and "just seemed to happen." Much as I loved the heavier tracks I had to agree with him. I am always reminded of this when I listen to Santa's Boyfriend. My favourite track, Concorde, is like that. I love to lie back with eyes closed and let the song drift over me, The gentle rhythm and softness of Joe's vocal lull me into solice whilst the steady, repetitive drumbeat sets my heart racing. I find it soothing yet incredibly erotic. Oops, I can't believe I just said that! Iced water quickly please! What is your favourite Santa's Boyfriend track and why?

Great souvenir... I bought this album about 7 years ago .... while I heard/read Sting'son played music in a band called SB !!!! woooaaaaww, what a surprise when I first heard "Tired" track, it was a really amazing pleasure for me to hear this fresh sound and this almost already heard voice few years ago (in the beginning of the eighties...)... I loved it until I could order the entire album... then I couldn't stop listening to it for a long period.... you know the sequel... Well "sentimentally" I love "Tired", but in this first album there is really great great music.

I'm so blonde! Bee told me about Santa's Boyfriend years back but I didn't check them out. Now I have I am making up for lost time. My faves are War simply because Joe's voice is so deliciously raw in it and Tell Me I'm right because sometimes I know I am despite feeling like everyone around me is telling me I'm not.

Yeh, I think we can all relate to that hermi. Personally I'm a fan of Insect Love. Reason being that upon first hearing it I stopped in my tracks & said out loud "What the **** is this?" It was just so different.

Wow that's a great The Edge quote too! That's what I love about all music though, just letting myself be taken away by it and stuff, without caring about any other thing going on in the world at the same time. Only the really good stuff can let me do that though, like FP and U2!

What is your favourite Santa's Boyfriend track and why? For some reason, I am drawn to "Low Standard of Living", probably because of its dynamic and its relevance to everyday life. I also like all the riff changes in it. I'd love to hear what the guys could do with it nowadays; give it an Extreme Makeover (without Ty Pennington).

Yes, that would be interesting. I adore some of the SB songs so much in their original form (and the memories associated with them) that I would hate to see them tampered with but Low Standard of Living could be improved upon I think. Nice idea!

I'd have to go for Oh No, because its oddly soothing somehow. But I'd also go for I'm So Tired since it makes me laugh and tends to speak how I feel most the time.

My vote goes to War too. Dunno why exactly. Just enjoy it wherever, whenever.

I've always liked TV... It's just fun song to sing along with. I wish I could have heard it live.

I love Train. I know the topic is morbid but I have to sing and bop along whenever I play it. I enjoy Joe's vocal in this. His voice sounds unruly and I love that.
