I Just thought I'd spill about a brill gig I went to this week.....
2 groups of 5 jazz musicians played in turn then formed one large band to headline. It was a great gig and Sting fans among you may be interested to know that they had us all on our feet to applaud when they closed with an incredibly moving cover of Hounds of Winter. The frontman was striking both in voice and skill with a saxaphone. Have you guessed why I am spilling this yet? Well, it was saxman! harembee, jezmondjez and Lily were there too.
Does anyone else here sing or play an instrument for fun or professionally?
I play piano and basic guitar.

I play the clarinet! And I attempt to sing. I'm a theatre major so I work allot on my voice, but not in a singing aspect, because I'm not in the musical theatre program, I'm in the acting program....
Whish I COULD sing better though, it would make my life WAY easier.

Does anyone else here sing or play an instrument for fun or professionally? I play bass guitar (acoustic and electric) primarily for fun. I used to be in a band many moons ago, but I no longer have the time to commit to such organizations. |

I play in many bands and orchestras at school and would love to be in the Shropshire Orchestra!! They are amazing!
Last week at school we had The ROYAL ARMY CORPS ORCHESTRA! Do a small concert for us and they were absoulutely amazing, blew my head off!!!! If anyone gets the chance to see them I would most definately go!!!
I have also started to play the Piano, which I have always wanted to do! GOOD LUCK TO ME!!

You will have to come to the christmas concert at school, we are having a huge orchestra 150 plus (everyone in school that plays an instrument) It sounded amazing last year!
I can't wait to get good at the Piano because its has a great sound! Love it <3 <3 <3 <3

I've been playing flute for almost 11 years now. I'd be better at it if I practiced. I also play guitar and my friends and I are going to have a band just for fun.

What grade are you? (have you taken grades)
I am sure your better than me anyday!
I try to prctice as often as I can but I have started to play the piano too so have to fit them both in soon!!
One day I would love to be Grade 8!!!

I started to learn to play the guitar a couple of years ago but gave up when my guitar was stolen. Stupid of me really. I should take it up again.

I try to prctice as often as I can but I have started to play the piano too so have to fit them both in soon!! One day I would love to be Grade 8!!! I don't think I know what grades are. I'm playing in college now, but our band takes anyone regardless of playing ability. If I practiced I could be so much better than I am now. I just plain don't have the time to, although I don't really want to most of the time. |
