Well, its a while since I sat any written exams but I recently trained as a therapeutic foster carer which was tough going at times. Child psychology is pretty intense. At the end of the course I had to sit before a panel of ten judges which was pretty SCARY! I passed, luckily. If I had the time I'd study a language - Spanish, Italian or French probably. I did the basics in these some years ago but have forgotten most of what I learnt now as I neglected to use them. I envy you studying English Literature. I would love to spend time in the company of the great writers again, especially Mr Shakespeare.

Whats a GCSE Drama exam like Adam? What do they cover? I'm a theatre Major, so whenever the word Drama is tossed into something I'm automatically curious. Either way, Good luck! I'm sure you'll do very well. I have a World Myths test on Friday, but hopefully I can manage to get a Tutor before the week is out, so I don't fail miserably. World Myths seems to be my weak class this semester. Along with Environment and Society. However; Sociology, Voice and Movement are going VERY well for me. Movement and Voice don't exactly have tests as they are technically acting classes and its hard to test someone on their acting ability. They are VERY physically demanding though, so I'm ALWAYS in pain. In Voice we run laps (While doing Shakespeare and greek monologues) and wall sits, and in movement we do crunches, planks, sit ups, and this thing called the river of impulses...which is a horrible horrible thing. Its basically isolating every movement your body can make and doing them one at a time/doing whatever you have the impulse to do....only you have to move in specific ways...its hard to explain. All I know is its REALLY HARD. Although, I can do dive rolls because of Movement class now. Dive Rolls are fun. YAY for being an Acting Major....

My Drama exam is on the 29th and 30th of this month!!!
It is all day on the 29th and half a day on the 30th!! (LONG)
This exam is in a workshop style! we are stdying the TAMING OF THE SHREW by William Shakespeare. We are examined on all the contributions we make and then at the end of the exam we have to produce a portfolio to show the examiner what we have learnt and how we understand the texts. Part of this portfolio is a Theatre review. We are going to see "When Angels Collide" so that should be fun!!
At the end of this year, about MAY!! we have our final performance exam this is worth 40% of our GCSE!!! Stressful!! we have to produce a 30min piece from scratch on anything we want that should be fun!!! LOL!!! ;D

Ooooh, that sounds like awesome stuff Adam! The Taming of the Shrew is one of my FAVORITE Shakespeare shows, I aspire to play Kathrine some day. I love that character. We actually don't get to dig into Shakespeare for another semester, but at the end of the year we have to do Shakespeare monologues for our professors. Its something they call Juries and ALL theatre students have to go through them. It determines whether or not we get let back into the program the next year. Last year they put my on Probation (AHH!!) but I'm doing allot better now, so I'm hoping they'll take me off of it at the end of this semester. (Pray for me ) ANYWHO, I think its awesome you're in a drama course. I LOVE theatre. Hence my being an Acting Major. On a side note: We read Death of A Salesman in my Theatre aesthetics course last year...ugh, we ripped into it in ways that would make anyone NOT into theatre dizzy. Its a fantastic show, but I know I'll never be able to look at it the same way again. Thus is the life I lead. On yet another side note: (God this is a long post) I have a World Myths exam on Friday. Currently I have a D in that class (I know, its awful...but fixable still. We're only 4 weeks in) ANYWAY, I have a tendency to do horribly on the quizzes for that class. Its the root of my problems. I decided about 2 weeks ago that I needed to bite the bullet and E-mail our TA (Teaching assistant) and ask for help (I'm terrible with asking for help). The only problem being I have a crush of EPIC proportions on the TA. And we're talking Epic. He's the most adorable thing I have ever seen in my life, I spend half of class just staring at him. He's like...Nerd hot. And I love that. Nerd hot = awesome. Anyway, because I think he's cute I seemed to have a problem E-mailing him. I don't want him to think I'm stupid. So like a week and a half went by of me going "I'll E-mail him tomorrow. Really I will." and FINALLY my best friend Allison was like "I'm done waiting for you to do this on your own." and decided to give me a shove off the cliff as you might say. She sat down at my computer, wrote out an E-mail FOR me, and said "Send it. Now." and glared at me until I sent it. Well it worked. And my TA messaged me back a few hours later and said "Drop by the learning center and sign up for a time for a tutoring session, if one of the times doesn't work...we'll figure something out." So I went to the learning center. But there were not spots left. SO I had to go through the whole process of E-mailing my TA again (On my OWN!) last night. *sigh* it was really hard for me for some reason, but I did it. And he's being very VERY helpful. I'm meeting him on Thursday night to study for a bit. Pray for me. Really. I don't know how I'm going to remain functional.....AHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!

I remember having a crush on my Political Science professor...ah Prof. Stephens! A lot of girls had crushes and remember his office hours were jammed packed! I ended up taking 3 classes with him! I even was going to do an honors class! I always communicated with him through email way better then seeing him face to face. Awww..having a crush on your prof (or TA)...those were the days! Good luck on exams everyone! (I really dont miss that part of college!) Liz

I remember drinking Orange Crush... ;D Good luck on exams everyone! (I really dont miss that part of college!) Liz As much of a pain in the butt it was, especially the last two semesters, I REALLY miss the learning atmosphere of college. I always had the feeling that I was making myself a better person while there. Of course, some of the required classes were godawful...

Yes, good luck Em. I had a MASSIVE crush on my form teacher at High School. He had gorgeous brown eyes and played guitar. Oops, just realised that my taste in men has remained constant since then! HA-HA!
