I saw John Mayer on Monday in Toronto. Although some favourites were missing from the setlist that night, as usual, his concert was terrific. I wish Sting would vary the setlist like JM does. That boy can play a guitar! His cover of Tom Petty's free falling was spot on. What a great bday present, Patti! GREAT pic! Glad you had fun. I wish Sting would change up the setlist too. Doesn't he know some of his fans go to numerous shows on the tour? On the last tour, I went to both Boston shows. His banter between songs was even the same. That is just lame.

Nic, I made a similar comment to my son-in-law while in Toronto. He works for Christie Lights so he's toured a lot with bands over the years. He commented that part of the reason for not changing the setlist might be the complications for the lighting crew to change the setup from night to night. True, but plenty of other bands like JM manage it. I hope Sting isn't that rehearsed in the bedroom or Trudie'd get bored (no pun intended) pretty quickly.

I know some of you FP fans have also become fans of Your Vegas while they were touring with the Bravery. They are playing a bunch of dates all over the USA. If anyone is in the Boston area on August 5, why not join me at Great Scott in Allston to see Your Vegas? Show is 18+!! www.greatscottboston.com/

I usually go to quite a few shows in the summer...but as of now I'm only going to see Nine Inch Nails in August. I'm really looking forward to it! Trent is one man I've been meaning to see for years! Right now I'm at a loss for words. The one show I've been looking forward to all summer (no FP gigs for me all summer!!) was NIN. Turns out Trent is sick and postponed the Worcester show tonight. BOO! I'm keeping my fingers crossed they reschedule...and on a date I can go. So very disappointing. Next shows up for me: 9/19 Swell Season 10/10 Ray Lamontagne
