I have to say the entire song Drink applies to just about everyone I know, it's amazing. Parts of cross the line also have the same impact to me.

To go in another direction...I laughed my ass off at "It's a Lie". I have a whole video story in my mind to go with that song...a guy following a hippie girl around campus through all of her group functions, just trying to get a kiss...LOL!

Gosh, there are so many great songs! For me though it has to be "Fallow." I really think it's one of their best songs. The resigned and timid sound, the metaphor for a life in a constant state of preparation but ultimately coming to nothing, just the honesty of it really is what I love. I also love "Sadr City Blues"...because of its awesomness....yes.
Edited because 'ultimately' has an 'e' in it.

Aren't they just! I believe that Drink is the best song Joe has written to date and eagerly await many more like it. Welcome to the message board, Hermione!

Has anybody sussed out the lyrics to Sadr City Blues? That's a tough one... Joe really does change the words in this one!

Yah, it's a little tougher than "I presuppose you're one of those who eats at Moe's"

Yah, it's a little tougher than "I presuppose you're one of those who eats at Moe's" What do you mean... Those aren't the original lyrics to Presuppose?

I have only just become acquainted with Stay but it struck a chord with me instantly. I adore it. Emhoffman, I so totally agree with you about Hate, Fallow and Stay. All have incredible lyrics. Must say I love that you guys here are all close friends and chat with such openness and fondness. I am so glad that I was introduced to FP and their loyal followers here, even if only very recently.

Stay... another great song. I think I'm going to listen to it now.
Another underdated song I think is VIP. It's a shame it's one of the songs they said they never would play again.

I was listening to the performance from Denmark in 2006 and I really dig the beats on Vodka Bomb and Party. Those who got to hear them live are lucky ducks!
