I was thinking exactly the same thing, Liz. Not matter how cool those songs are, I agree that I wouldn't be too upset if they didn't make the cut. We'll get them on the Paradiso CD and that's enough for me! Noooo!! I think Sadr and Brakes could get airplay if they were recorded and released as singles.

Ok, after going back and reading the kick ass info review and listening to the new songs again...still LOVE..ZERO! I love how this song starts!! And I modified my post about Denied....I liked Humanoid better then this song. "Denied" was ok... Great review....lots of ATM machines (and Mexican rice that's bright red/orange....never seen that before!) Liz

Great review by Mark - as always, a man of words! And well put ones too. I have to say - I really liked all three of the songs. I though Denied was really lovely - I thought Pete was kicking in this track - and while it is a slower track it didn't remind me of Fake Light so much (not a massive fan of that myself) - I thought it was MUCH sweeter. I could picture myself soaking that up, eyes closed, swaying along to the music! I LOVED the bass line in Contagious - very contagious ;D And love Pete's backing vocals. Zero was totally awesome! Seton had some serious sounds going on - reminded me a bit of Matthew Bellamy from Muse (I know he'll like THAT comparison!) with the second effect he comes in with - I LOVED that - this is a hit for sure. I am so sad I didn't get to hear the rest but so happy I got to hear these three - I am beside myself waiting for this album! Thanks guys for sharing

And I modified my post about Denied....I liked Humanoid better then this song. "Denied" was ok... I was wondering if you were confusing the two, Liz! The review is great! Really captures the essence of the gig... I almost feel like I was there again! I was wondering what was up with Joe's voice... hopefully he can rest up now! And Ethan slept through the gig? Amazing, with how loud it was in there! I think it's awesome they found a way to include him.

Having watched all the videos of the new songs, and I can't stop playing Zero! That song really rocks!
Can't wait for the next album, but fortunately we have the Paradiso DVD to keep us busy until the album gets released!

I'm actually kinda surprised at this online reaction to the isolated vids of those three songs, because I REALLY think they didn't hold a candle to the first two songs in the set, which didn't sound like any of those three. The ones that were bootlegged were actually the more subdued of the new material. Makes me wonder if everyone at the show was just so in awe that they started the show with new songs that they forgot they brought recording equipment.

Thanks for the review Mark! Love the new songs - those i had a chance to listen to. Would love to hear more, but seems no one recorded for example Telephone Unknown which was mentioned here as one of the best Well, have to wait for the CD... I was surprised when watching those videos - the crowd was amazing! In USA!!! hahaha (sorry, US fans! ) One question: Anyone has an idea why Seton was playing that (i call it No2) guitar? Where's black&white??

Kinga, it's not that we don't have Fiction-Crazy fans over here( me being one of them). Heck Liz traveled from 3,000 miles away! It's just so hard to crack into the USA. Maybe it's the size or the huge amount of music here, I don't know. In my opinion NYC is the best place to play to gain fans. They should concentrate on the northeastern states.

Anyone has an idea why Seton was playing that (i call it No2) guitar? Where's black&white?? He usually uses the wood-grained guitar in the US. I guess he has his "American" guitar and his "Euro" guitar. Once in a while he uses both, but I guess he might have only brought the wood one from the studio.
