So...this is really very random BUT as you may or may not know, I'm a theatre major. I want to be an actress once I graduate, and today had a semi-important decision fall into my lap. It may sound really trivial, but it does hold a bit of weight. I need to decide what name I want to put on my headshots. Do I want Emily Hoffman Or Emily Laura Hoffman Yeah I know, trivial right? But its what I'm going to end up going by. I don't NEED to make the official decision for several years, but I did just get headshots done for school purposes and the photographer needs to know what name I want underneath them. Allot of people use their middle names nowadays. I think the Laura adds allot actually, it gives my name a bit more weight. I just want a second oppinion since what I start using here will most likely end up being the name I go by professionally. Lend me a hand will you?

You also should know that if there is another "Emily Hoffman," then you will have to add your middle name anyways....for the actor's guild...to get your card.
I think you should go for Emily Laura Hoffman.
Quick useless fact....when Michael J. Fox needed to register for the guild, there was a "Michael Fox," so he just added the "J." So, there ya go! ;D

I know this probably doesn't help much, but the problem I have with it is that your first name is three syllables. If it was just "E. Laura Hoffman" or something a bit shorter sounding, I think it would be more memorable. I know its not your fault that your first name has three syllables, but the shorter the words, the easier they are to remember.

I think I would include Laura. Emily and Laura are both beautiful names. The three name choice certainly worked for Sarah Jessica Parker, right?!
