I had a scorpion called Sting once. Just as cheesy as your bee idea! I need to live somewhere tropical to have the other pets I'd like a guinea pig too, but a HUGE one - a capybara! Or an ocelot or margay - my kind of feline companion. Or better still a sloth like the one I befriended in Costa Rica. That dude was SO laid back, just hung out in his tree all day, chewing leaves and bobbing his head to Bob Marley songs on my CD player. What a life! I ache for a garden full of sunbirds or hummingbirds too. You'd love the way they fly - superfast, like tiny jet planes. Here's my sloth friend....

This is Einstein, better known as Albie. He's a Newfoundland crossed with something. Five years old and a true rascal. My baby. I'd love a cat too but Albie would probably tease it too much. Perhaps when he's older. I'd like a ginger Tom.

I have a Dalmatian named "Ditto." I had to put my black lab down last June. Her name was "Chloe." Had her for 12 years and had kind of a hard time with that. I also had a red beta fish named Otto who died last July. I had him for almost two years.
So now it's just Ditto. He's pretty popular in the neighborhood. He goes everywhere with me.

it is very tough to let go for sure! I would post a photo of Ditto, but I'm pretty technologically challenged, if that's a word.

ohhhhh, there's my good boy! He was quite fond of Donna during her visit to my house. Dalmatians definitely have personality. Thanks Bee for posting that for me. Someday I'll take some time to do it myself. jen j

We have a cat called Sativa. She is quite old already, 19 or 20 years, but still going strong!
We had another cat, called Cannabis (no joke! I was not with my husband yet when he got that cat. He even listened to his name, and it was quite embarassing to walk around our neighbourhood calling his name when he was missing some years ago!),but sadly he died 4 years ago.
When I was still a student, I had pet rats. I had three litters of them, which was really fun! 13 baby rats chasing each other in their cage!

She was among my favorite pets. She was tan, and I called her Athena. Very friendly, she enjoyed snuggling a lot. I really miss that rat.

I have an absolute nutter of a kitten called Squeak! His mum died just after giving birth so we raised him by hand and had to feed him with a little syringe and then a bottle but he rallied round and now he is big and bold! He jumped up INTO the chimney onto a ledge the other night and then COVERED to house with soot when we got him out! He likes ankles, jumping out at people to scare them, plastic bottle tops (he gets in "goal" while we flick them across the floor and then he "saves" them!! gets them every time LOL!), LOVES paper bags and cardboard boxes and sneaking up on you in the middle of the night to give your nose a nibble! This is him here: And a really funny pic of him here!

Thanks Nicole - he is just adorable!! He thinks he's people though! Not very good with other cats....yet anyway! I adopted my cat from the Humane Society in 2001. She was a stray...and doesn't get along with other cats either. She loves people though...although takes a bit to warm up to strangers!
