The band seemed genuinely grateful to be able to cut loose with a headline show in front of 'their people'. If you've ever been to an FP headline gig, you know there are always surprises, and this show was no exception.
Setlist included:

During the segue way between "Put On Your Shoes" and "Sadr City Blues" (when Joe jumps off of the speaker cabinet, beginning SCB), Pete and Seton thought they would play a little joke on Joe. While they are playing their runs faster and faster, Joe climbs up onto the cabinet and prepares for the jump. Only this time, Pete doesn't give the cue to stop playing. So there Joe is, teetering on the cabinet, while the music is getting even faster and faster! It got to the point where they were practically playing speed metal or something of that nature. Eventually, the blur of sound subsides, Joe leaps, along with a wave of sweat, and the show continues.
When "Cross the Line" began, we were wondering how they planned on ending the song, since they had already played "Put On Your Shoes". When the song got to that point, they start back into it, but Joe had a little trick up his sleeve. He starts playing the chords in reverse order. Seton stops playing (trying to figure out exactly what Joe was doing - he later confesses). Pete signals him to keep playing, and they go into a very cool jam. Joe goes to the mike and says, "We don't really know what we're doing right now, but we're going to continue to do it for a while."
When that finishes, they try a new intro for "Hate", which Joe quickly says, "Hey, this sounds like jazz. I guess we're a jazz band now." So Pete follows suit and starts playing a funky little jazz line, and the guys noodle a bit and them go into the song.
During "Cigarette", when Joe tells his "story", he mentions that the song is about his ex-girlfriend, who he shall refer to as Miss Piggy, and a little green f***er called Kermit The Frog. He proceeds to sing
"It's time to put on makeup
It's time to light the lights
It's time to raise the curtain on the Muppet Show tonight"

After that fun episode, the guys leave the stage, which Joe claims should be "about 90 seconds or so".
About 30 seconds later they come out, and Joe starts plucking the chords to "March of the Winkies" from The Wizard of Oz (the "ohh-wee-ohh" song), and states, "We are no longer Fiction Plane. We are now the Flying Monkeys from The Wizard of Oz!" Pete and Seton join in, and somehow, they seamlessly bleed it right into "Two Sisters" without missing a beat.
As the song (and set) draws to a close, Joe climbs back up onto the speaker cabinet to do his finale leap. However, he's got a little payback in mind. This jump is supposed to signal the end of the encore. While crouched up there, Pete and Seton play their little outro bits, doing some final rolls and squealing sustain. Joe makes ready to jump, but suddenly stands back up and plays some more, so Pete and Seton have to do another round of the cool-down. The count comes around again, and Joe makes ready to jump - and fakes it again. The guys start laughing and go into yet another round. Finally Joe makes good on the finale and the show ends - everyone smiling.
Definitely a show to remember.
