Wow... It's amazing how much they have grown since 2003. Seeing older clips like this really makes you appreciate their talent and showmanship that much more.
Did anyone get a chance to see them when they toured for 'Everything will Never Be OK'?

Never thought I would say this, but watching these vids makes me really miss Dan.

How so? I think Dan's departure made them all grow more as musicians.

How so? I think Dan's departure made them all grow more as musicians. I'm just saying that when Dan left, there was a certain attention to melody that went with him. If you listen to the demo versions versus the LSotB versions, you may get what I'm trying to explain. Also, no offense to Pete, but Dan was a better backing vocalist...probably because his singing voice was close to Joe's.

I dont know..I think its almost unfair to compare w/or w/out Dan because they seem like two different bands. I think with Dan, they hadnt found their sound. They had many hands in the making of their sound back then. Now, since they had all the "voice" on LSOFB, then it sounds more cohesive. I think theyre next album should be really awesome since they have toured for a long time as a trio and I think they are more sure of themselves in terms of their sound. JMO Liz

I would be lying if I said I didn't miss the keyboards/piano. When Bitter Forces came out I was psyched with the direction of the band. Took me a long time to get into LSOTB. But once seeing the guys out on tour with the album I fell in love with it.

I understand what drinksmithwicks is saying... on LSOTB, there is definitely "something" missing that I thought made them so unique when I first heard their sound. I was right there with Nicole- it took me quite a while to warm up to LSOTB. That being said, I think that it was only missing in the studio... when I see them live, the magic was still there for me.
That being said, I like the direction they are going now- the punk funk sound fits them.

I totally agree that Dan's departure forced the guys to grow and I adore FP as a trio, but anyone who knows me knows how much I miss Dan's keyboards, voice and personality. I sincerely hope he cuts an album of his own sometime soon and gigs so that we can catch up with him. If anyone bumps into him please give him this from me -
