Is there a FICTION PLANE lyric or line in one of their songs that has a solid impact on you? Or is there one that you find so clever, it just makes you smile?
Feel free to share it here. ;D

Is there a FICTION PLANE lyric or line in one of their songs that has a solid impact on you? Or is there one that you find so clever, it just makes you smile? This is an easy one for me. My favorite lyric has always been: "Don't tell me that you fight for principles, When you fight for yourself!" ~ from BONGO This resonates with me, because I deal with people all the time that exemplify those words. It's scary, but there are so many self-centered people out there that it just makes me sick. However, the lyric also has another side to it, in that although it is pointing out a flaw in people, the simple act of bringing it to light offers a glimmer of hope for change.

My favorite overall has to be Drink, more specifically the chorus, just really resonates with me.

I chose LSOTB as my fave album on this messageboard as I think the tracks are the best for live performances, but I truly love BF&LR. The lyrics in these verses gripped me instantaneously upon hearing the EP and have been favourites of mine ever since.
From Tolerate..... "Don't lisen to me when I curse your name. I'm burning litter on an open flame. You're feeling heat and yes I feel the same. There's nothing in it, just a bitter cry, Against the forces that won't let me fly. Against the wind that keeps this desert dry. But it won't change if I don't even try."
From Author Lies..... "Don't ask me to be there at your side. There's a half hour wait and I'm growing impatient. Give me some food that is easy to chew. I feel so zen when I do things that are easy. Paint him a colour, make him one or the other. Or spin him on your finger like your talented brother. Today, we start again. You're singing a song."

I have to agree Drink has always resonated really well with me, as has Everything Will Never Be Okay for some reason.
For some reason I really like these lyrics from Presuppose
"maybe you were wrong about your face don't curse your luck your luck don't need to change something that is broken in your smile a speck of dust just falling into space"
