Just a wee bit of news to get all the FP fans revved and excited for the coming months.
The Fiction Plane Info Center learned today that Pete, Joe, and Seton are currently convened in New York for the next couple weeks writing and arranging new songs for the new album.
As previously reported, Fiction Plane is scheduled to enter the studio in February to record the new album for release later in 2009.
More soon!

I'm really intrigued to find out what will make the cut for the album. I'm actually kinda worried for songs like "Sadr", "Brakes", and "Shoes". FP is notorious for demoing songs live and never recording them. In addition to a studio album, I think it would be an amazing idea if they did a proper live album. Granted, we've got tons of bootlegs that areall over the 'net, but wouldn't a 2-CD live set be awesome?

Here's hoping we get what we want! And...I proper live album would rock! Wish all artists would do this!

This is fantastic news!
I can't wait to see if Sadr, Brakes and/or Shoes make the cut. It would really be a shame if at least Sadr and Brakes didn't make it... those are awesome songs! But my fear is that once they start writing, the songs they write now will be even better (Yeah!!!) and Brakes and Sadr will end up on the cutting room floor.
I would love to see a proper live album too!!!! To have good quality versions of the live songs would be awesome.
