Another cool item from Shark Attack Media: Attention FICTION PLANE Fans and Friends! Modern Drummer Magazine is holding its annual Reader’s Poll, and you can help make FICTION PLANE’s Pete Wilhoit get the spotlight! As it says on the Modern Drummer website: “Here’s your chance to share your opinion and acknowledge the contributions of your favorite artists and educators over the past twelve months.” It just takes a moment to fill in your selections. There are several categories, so feel free to drop Pete’s name wherever possible! Here is the link to the poll. They are only accepting one entry per household, so the more fans we can rally, the better Pete’s chances are at winning in one of the categories! Results will be announced in the July 2009 issue of Modern Drummer, which streets in March/April. The voting closes on February 15, 2009, so grab your mouse, and make your vote count! Pete and FICTION PLANE thank you as always for your support!

Funny, I think this was the same magazine that did a story on Pete a few years back and listed his name as "Phil Wilhoit".

How awesome would it be if Pete got a spotlight in the biggest percussion magazine in the states? I really hope we can all pull together and make this happen. ;D ;D ;D

It would be pretty cool. It sucks, though, that you can only vote once per household

I did the same Yvie, whilst listening to The Cutters 'Sonic Wave Love' album borrowed from Bee, sent to her from Michellepa I believe. Thanks Ladies, I really like the album. The drummer is so obviously Pete. Think I may have recognised him even if I wasn't already aware of his connection with this band. Fingers crossed for him in the poll!

The Wikipedia entry says he came third in the "Up and Coming drummer" catagory. So, Yay! Well done to Pete, and of course, all those who voted for him. ;D
