Fiction Plane announced today that it has added two more festival dates to its summer touring run. On June 26, the band is participating in the 2009 Les Festiv'ete Musicales, which is taking place at Le Puy Cadoré in Les Moutiers Sous Chantemerle, France. Other bands on the bill include Kiemsa, Les Wampas, Les Wriggles and DJ Zebra. More bands will be announced as the festival draws closer. The official website for the event is: festiv.free.fr/festival.html There is also a MySpace page and an official Facebook Group page established to promote the festival. =========== Then, on July 12, Fiction Plane is performing at the prestigious Bospop Festival, which is taking place at the Sportpark Boshoven in Weert, Netherlands. Other bands on the bill include Australian Pink Floyd Show, Chickenfoot, Jeff Beck, Beth Hart, Triggerfinger, Paul Carrack, Tesla, Pronghorn, and Paul Gilbert The official website for the event is: www.bospop.nl There is also a MySpace page and an official Hyves page established to promote the festival. It sure does! Oh, to live in the EU or to have unlimited funds to travel...

SO near and yet so far!! It is only across the water but what with losing my job and the current financial crisis it is unlikely I will make any of these dates so far. Am currently counting on another Amsterdam gig at the end of the year - I wouldn't miss that for ANYTHING!! It is beginning to become a tradition so fingers crossed - I would sell my left arm (well, SLIGHT exaggeration!) to get to that one.

I think these festivals are really smart. If coordinated correctly, they could easily sell a lot of merch, and put Paradiso on the charts for a while!

Since there all in the UK right now, you'd think that there would be a small chance of a one-off gig. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you both!
