If only someone had filmed last year's Mt. Adams Festival in Cincinnati. As great as the Paradiso DVD is, my jaw dropped at that Cincy show.
And I still think someone should have had the Arlene's gig professionally taped. A couple songs from that set still haunt me.

I absolutley agree with you about the Mt Adams show. The stage moved when the guys played. That night was magic.
I finally got my Paradiso DVD only yesterday. Love it!

AAARRRRRGGGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I got my DVD today and was sooo excited to get home from the post office. i swear I ran at least five red lights and almost hit a bicyclist. however, the DVD won't play because it says "wrong region". WTF? are you kidding?? It won't play!!!! i never was able to see this on fabchannel, live or archived. I guess I am destined to never see this. I've paid out the wazoo for a CD set. Jen, look online for a hack for your DVD player. It can probably play PAL dvds if you enter the right code.

Arlene's was fabulous. A room packed full of FP fans all loving the new tunes. Couldn't have asked for a better crowd that night! I'm sure Arlene's was blown away to see a band PACK the room for the first slot at 7pm on a Friday night!

I'm so glad I haven't opened my cd/dvd yet. I wondered if it would be a PAL format. I do happen to have an all region dvd player but I haven't used it for ages. I don't know if it still works or better yet if I can find the remote to make the darn thing play. LOL! Guess I'll be going on "safari" tomorrow to look for the "missing link". ;D Christine

Sorry to hear that some of you are having probs with the DVD. Receiving my copy has rocked my world! I first watched Bee's copy with her on her birthday and she pointed out some of you guys among the crowd. Great. Now I feel like I have met you even though I haven't really, and can imagine me there with you too! If that makes sense??

Jen, you should go to ebay and look for an "all region" dvd player. They are quite inexpensive. That's where I got mine several years ago. I had bought a rare Police dvd on ebay and found out too late it was a PAL dvd. So I got the 411 from a friend and he pointed me to the all region players. Well worth the $$. I know money is tight for everyone right now but think of it as an inverstment in future FP dvd from Europe (since they don't seem to be coming to the States anytime soon). Christine

Good idea, Christine. I think I may need to look into one of these myself. What I would give to see just one US tour date announced, right about now.

any word on if anything is going to be done about this little region problem? From what we've heard, it sounds like XIII Bis is unfortunately sweeping this issue under the rug. Our sincerest apologies to all non-Region 2 fans out there.

Bummer! They really should sort this. Were they really stupid enough to not foresee the problem, or did they just not care? Hope you all get to see the DVD soon.

I just think they felt it didn't make financial sense to do multi-region versions of something that was only going to be sold in stores in Region 2 areas. They probably would have lost money had they done a special Region 0 version. But again, it also goes back to the PAL formatting, which is the European standard.
