Anyone going anywhere special this summer? Its looking pretty definite I will be heading to Oregon to hang out with Jen!!!! ;D ;D (and Silas, Dan and Ditto too of course!) Can't wait to see the West coast! I think we are going to have so much fun. Goonie Beach here we come!

No LA for Jen and I. Oregon and Seattle are our plans!  So excited to stick my feet in the Pacific. The beers will be flowing for us I'm sure!! ;D |

for our Seattle trip, I gotta find the address for Jimi Hendrix's grave again, Kurt Cobain's old house, where Sleepless in Seattle was filmed. Watch the fish throwers at Pike Place Market. I'll find out all the fun touristy stuff!
We're going to have fun! I have to see if anything special is going on that week.
I would love to head down to Venice Beach or Santa Monica, but that would be a very loooooooooooooong drive.

ALOHA! I'll be going to Maui Maui? Ooooh, how wonderful! I'm going to Kenya where my partner's family have some land. It will be a holiday but I also hope to help build a schoolroom in one of the nearby villages whilst there. |

so far, Nicole and I have some Portland walking tours on the schedule (the famous shanghai tunnels and Portland underground tour), i believe there is a brewfest somewhere that week, and of course a trip to the Rogue Public House for some legendary Dead Guy Ale direct from the source. Some time during the week, we will also head to Cannon Beach (Goonies), take a day or two to Seattle and maybe hit Experience Music Project (amazing music museum), Space Needle, and Jimi Hendrix's grave and if we have time, the Tillamook Cheese Factory on the Oregon coast.
The search for fun in the pacific northwest continues! Stay tuned.....

All of these sound wonderful. Wish I was going with you all, especially to Maui! I haven't made any summer plans just jet, awaiting confirmation of a conservation project and my man's work plans. I do have a couple of FP friends from The Netherlands and Turkey coming over to visit me, so I am looking forward to that.  |

Wow, everyone's summer plans sound so cool! I'm so jealous of you Liz getting to go to Maui.. Always wanted to go to there!
And who knew there was so much fun stuff to do in the Northwest! I need to add that to my vacation wishlist!

Ooohhh, Cannon Beach, I didn't know Goonies was filmed there. While living in Tacoma I visited there and Mt Hood where we went sled riding. That was weird, the beach and snowcapped mountain, all in the same day. Of course it was too cold to swim. My sis in law lived in West Linn. I remember many drives down I 5 and across the Columbia River. Would love to visit the Pacific Northwest again. You'll love the scenery Nicole! Especially Mt. Rainier from the interstate. Have a blast you two!  Fiction Plane should definitely do a show in Portland! |

I'm embarking upon my first trip to Australia next month. I've wanted to go for as long as I can remember so I'm truly excited at the prospect. Can't wait to visit Sydney Harbour and Uluru!
