Just saw this on youtube! It features a guest appearance by MC Zani while Fiction Plane performed their encore "Two Sisters" at the 2009 Festival Maré de Agosto on Santa Maria Island in the Azores. There are also some pictures popping up on line. Check them out below! Seton & JoeSetonJoeSeton JoeJoe

Nice find! This guy was excellent - he's the 2008 British Beatbox Champion.
They all met on the flight to the island and a beautiful friendship was formed!!!

I echo Lindy. Anything to share from this gig?
I'm dying for any FP news during this down time! I heard mention somewhere that another new song may have been played?

Here are a few clips from youtube from two different news programs:
Festival Review (in Portuguese), includes Clips of FP performing "It's a Lie" and a new song, starting at 3 minutes and 35 seconds
Fiction Plane Interview, includes Cut Your Brakes in the background

Cool clips. Great to have something to see during what appears to be another FP drought.

Ah, the Azores...yes, this was possibly the best FP show I've ever seen! The set list was perfect. All the new songs that were played in NYC were aired here too plus another new song that was somehow written in the 5 minutes they had off between gigs! This is going to be one spectacular album The Azores themselves were apparently beautiful - I have to take advice from my learned friends on that one because it was dark when I got there and I left first thing the next morning so I could have been anywhere on earth (although, almost anywhere on earth would have been easier to get to!). The people there were lovely though and they loved FP!! Almost all of the set was made up of new songs which none of them would have heard before but they still bounced along and they knew all the words to the oldies - I guess the Azores rock!!!

Sounds wonderful susiesue. I have to admit to turning green when reading your post. This is the FP gig I would have most liked to attend this summer. Even in the dark!!! Thanks for sharing the experience.
