Anyone know what this is all about? From the announcement and the info on the venue website, it seems that, rather than do an actual in-store or something directly related to promoting the album, Joe is doing some old-school beat poetry. Who knows, maybe he'll "talk" some song lyrics. Hahaha.

I'm guessing no one went to this, because I have neither seen a report nor a review of the performance anywhere.

Hmm, I went to this but I'm not the best person to write a review. I only went along cos FP were playing a full gig after this show.
Basically, it was a Dutch comedy show (I think, the audience laughed a lot!). Joe was on near the end and he told a story, which I think (although I could totally be making this up) was something about a mouse in a house. He then told a story in English (hurrah!) that he wrote about his ever growing head! It was quite funny and I'm glad I saw it. He's getting more and more confident speaking in public (as seen in interviews over the last few years) and he appeared totally relaxed doing this.
Possibly the worst review I've ever written in my life but I hadn't a bloody clue what was going on all night!!
Oh yeah, and the gig afterwards was wicked!!!!

"Where?""There on the stair." "Where on the stair?""Right there. A little mouse with clogs on, well I declare, going clip-clippety-clop on the stair. Right there!" I loved this song as a kid and it came flooding straight back into my head when I read your post! Sounds like a fun experience - the show I mean, not seeing a mouse on a stair! Love that you were there. Thanks for sharing it with us Susiesue! Now, where is my medication? ;D

Do you recall any of the songs they played afterward?

Bee ;D that's almost what I imagined it to be! As for the gig, it was the third of the day (Leiden and Delft record store appearances) and over all 3 shows we heard every song on the album The first two were a bit foreplay like - acoustic guitars and mini drums - but it was full on rock at night.

I adore those small accoustic sessions and three in a day sounds perfect. Foreplay huh? That description is gonna keep me chuckling for a while!

Not wanting to dig a hole for myself here but while the acoustic thing's great but it was all anticipation of the full on extra loud rock gig at night. What can I say - I'm a full on extra loud kinda gal
