I prefer LSOTB because its a finished album...although I do wish they put a couple of the songs from BF&LRH on their next album!

I'd love to know why that's your favorite. I like that the SB era stuff too but it doesn't sound as 'finished' as the rest of the albums do.
Mine would be Bitter Forces and Lame Race Horses as well, but "Left Side..." is a very close second.

I'm really bewitched by LSOTB ... it became better and better with time... like all others LP in fact !! I'm really impatient to hear the new one !! Songs like Brakes, Sadr, Boot, Innocent... songs I know from IMM, makes me mad if they have the same evolution than Presuppose that I heard long time ago in acoustic...and when I discover it on album version it was SOOOOOOOO good... hope it will do the same... CAN'T WAIT ...P.S : in last week live chat with the guy it was so messy (but so funny !!) that I couldn't have the answer to the question : Will you play new album song during winter tour ?..... So suspens !!  |

I agree with the above post. LSotB ages like a fine wine, even though it is only a year old.
While I also love BFaLRH, it is a snapshot from the guys' past, which may never be revisited, regardless of how awesome those songs sounded live.
I'm just afraid that once they put the new album out, they'll be sick of performing "Sadr City Blues" and drop it from the setlist. I hope it doesn't come to that.

Overall I have to say LSOTB. But I still adore Wise and Hate from EWNBO and Author Lies from BF&LR. Loved most of the Santa's Boyfriend stuff too. Wow, tough question! I can't imagine having to live without any of the albums! |

I would have to agree with the majorityand say Left Side Of The Brain. It's by far the best and has my favourite song on there by FP!!!!!!

BFLRH my no 1 for sure. I saw Fiction Plane in London whilst visiting a friend. She bought me the cd and gave it to me for Xmas. But EWNBO is a very close 2nd.

Bitter Forces is my favorite. Joe was kind of surprised and asked me why. I just love the guitar and piano. Author Lies and American Standard I can put on repeat and be happy for a few weeks. I love all the albums. They each have a different sound to me. However, BFLRH is my number one choice.
