Hello Saxman, Wecome to the board! I can't imagine you ever being in a dark frame of mind, but I am glad you bought the album! I found some of my pics from the Half moon gig........

I'd never heard of FP until they toured with The Feeling. I worked at the the Academy in Newcastle and tried (and failed) to chat up a crazy red-head who was at the gig promoting the support band. She urged me to listen to their set and flogged me an album. I was impressed by them both live and on CD. I doubt I'll clock up the amazing mileage that some of you here do, but I will certainly go to more UK gigs.

Jezmondjez successfully chatted me up though and introduced me to Harembee at the next gig . I'm less of a fan of The Feeling these days and am more taken with Fiction Plane. I've only seen the guys twice, but hope that Jez may be persuaded to travel a little further afield and treat me to a day or two in France when FP play there . I love those Half Moon club photos. I wish I had heard about FP sooner than I did. I would love to have seen the band as a foursome having now listened to their early songs. I envy those of you who have witnessed the band grow .

I'd never heard of FP until they toured with The Feeling. It is truly an amazing testament to the mesmerizing ability of FP to draw so many fans from these opening slots. I've seen so many shows where they were basically ignored. It is quite refreshing to see that they are making an impact with people.

Crazy red-head huh, Jezmomdjez??? ;D Glad you liked the photos Lily. Yes, following the guys' progress has been awesome. I retain memories from every gig - new venues, new songs being introduced, new people in the crowds to meet and make friends with, gaining Pete, losing Dan, growing concerns for the future of jumpin' Joe's knees etc! Glad you will be sharing all this from now on. You're right (as usual) drinksmithwicks. FP always go out there and give it their all no matter what response they do or don't receive. All due credit to them for that.

I was so privileged to witness the first Snoop concert at UNH. Not the greatest response to our boys...but I'm so happy to hear the Unity tour turned out so much better. Glad the boys had the time of their lives. Hope they enjoy their much deserved break!

Yeah to all the new fans!!! Hope to meet up with all of you in the future! And the Unity Tour was a good tour for the guys. Some of the people I talked to are going to download/buy their album! Liz

I first saw Fiction Plane at a club I frequent in Manchester, UK; The NIght & Day Club. The guys were promoting their Bitter Forces EP which was due for release. I had never heard of them but liked their sound. The guys treated the audience to Tequila Slammers and Dan gave me a t-shirt which I still wear. I have since been to their other Manchester gigs and a couple in London. Am looking forward to more. ;D

Hi Yvie, welcome to the messageboard! I had forgotten about the Tequila Slammers that night but I do remember that we were both dancing up at the front together. I loved the club. It was a great night.

Hello. I'm Francesca from Oxford, England. I was introduced to Fiction Plane's music just a couple of months ago and am somewhat in awe of those of you who know this band so well. I am being slowly educated by reading all the posts here and hope to be up to speed by the time the next album is ready for me to purchase. A friend gave me a copy of Left Side Of The Brain and I just loved it. I then listened immediately to their previous recordings and became a fan. Watching the Paradiso DVD is the closest I've come to seeing them live so I am praying for some UK gigs soon.

Welcome francesca! Now that the boys are almost done recording I'm sure more gigs will be poping up. At least one in the UK for you and at least one in the States for me

Ciao everyone. I found Fiction Plane in Milano when they played for Sting. I truly loved their sound. Different from what I mostly listened to until that moment. I found harembee there also and she taught me all about this band. We are friends ever since. I came to London and Glasgow and we watched FP gigs together. I am hooked like a fish on a fishline now! ;D Happy to know you nice FP people here!
