The cooks among us teamed up in several kitchens to make fruit chutneys, pies and other desserts to sell at our local farmers' markets. We all enjoyed cooking together and selling on our stalls and netted a profit in excess of £500. Much of the fruit used came from the Fiction Plane orchard. Cool eh?

Did we really Sapphire? That's much more than I had expected, Well done everyone! My sister's company sponsored a firework display and party this Nov 5th and donated the profits to our Alzheimer's Association appeal. It was a fabulous nite and I have £445 to forward to the charity. My thanks to Dickinson's Media and everyone who joined us on the nite.

I love Guy Fawkes night. Thanks for inviting me to your 'do' Yvie. I had a blast!! I have some cash for our kitty also - £265.00 collected in donations following a backstage tour I organised in Stratford. This included a sneak preview of the main theatre currently under renovation, a talk about all of the RSC theatres and the company, and a chance to meet some of the cast during rehearsals of Roald Dahl's Matilda which opens later this month. Looking forward to seeing that!

As you can tell, I'm a bit of a wimp and couldn't go alone, but would like to experience a jungle environment. I plan to talk to our harembee as she's a bit of a Jungle Jane but was wondering if anyone has any ideas. I mean, could we do a sponsored something, in the jungle somewhere, sometime?

Definitely not Chessie. Don't even get me started on expressing my views on that dreadful programme! I would happily organize something if you'd like me to though Lucielou, especially if we can get a group together. We could stay in a rainforest, trek through one, visit a tribal community, work on a conservation project... Let me know what you would like to do. I'm definitely in!
