Hi All,
For some time I have been making small donations to my favourite environmental/humanitarian charities as a way of celebrating the enhancement of my life courtesy of FP's music and my cherished FP friendships.
Knowing that FP themselves have always approved of me doing this I recently approached them and suggested that I invite selected FP friends to fundraise as a team for charities of their choice. They gave the idea a big thumbs up and since then I have tested the idea with the help of a handful of friends. I am delighted with the support we have received and within just a few weeks we have raised almost £2,000.
So, I am now taking this opportunity to invite my .info friends to join me in this. Could you organise an event or two this year and donate the proceeds to charity to demonstrate/celebrate your love of FP? How cool to be a fanbase that work together to improve the lives of others on FP's behalf?? A wonderful way to show our appreciation of the guys???
Here's how it works.... You organise an event of your choice, solo or with friends, then donate the money raised to the charity by post or online. All I ask is that you notify me of the nature and proposed date of the event by posting here (or by personal e-mail if you prefer) then the money raised, in order for me to keep a tally which will be forwarded to the guys. It is I who am ultimately overseeing this rather than the guys themselves but with their approval. Please contact me with any questions you may have therefore rather than they. Please help if you can. Every donation, no matter how small, will make a difference to the lives of dementia sufferers and those who care for them. I am truly excited at the prospect of working with you all on this.
