Many of the FPF team, plus our guests, are meeting up in Shropshire this coming weekend and will spend an afternoon at Stokesay Court, the stately home where the movie 'Atonement' was filmed. If anyone fancies taking an on-line peek here's a link the official website: www.stokesaycourt.com/default.asp There are some wonderful photos in the gallery. Apologies for my absence. I was away on a holiday booked at short notice. Have visited the house before though so I know how lovely it is. Hope everyone had a good time??! Yes, Bee, the house is beautiful, especially the oak staircase and wall panels. The gardens are pretty stunning too. I sat on the fountain featured in Atonement. Must watch the film again now! Everything's ready for the fahion show BTW. See y'all in Stratford for can-shaking!! ;D

Principessa, I don't know how you did it but I am in awe. You shuffled our tree hug forward, choosing exactly the right day for the event, the day that the trees were at their most magnificent, and the weather was perfectly sunny. I loved meeting every one of your chosen trees and hearing the wonderful histories/stories they embrace. Un giorno incantevole, toccante ed uplifting. Non posso ringraziarlo abbastanza! A couple of pics I took......... Horse Chestnut Copper Beech You wonder how I chose the right day? I am close friends with trees and can read their signs well I think. I study them and they speak to me in their own way. Learning the predicted weather also, I can judge when they will decide it is time to slumber for winter and flutter down their leaves. Happy that you had a lovely time. I did also. I very much enjoyed that everyone dressed in autumn coloured clothes. Lovely thought! Beautiful photographs Harembee and you spoke to me in perfect Italian. Thank You. You are learning my mother tongue really fast. ;D "I can judge when they will decide it is time to slumber for winter and flutter down their leaves." So poetic, Principessa!! Love it!!

I'm hoping for something red that may suit me, to wear at Christmas. I'm Looking forward to seeing some of the fundraising team modelling on the catwalk of course! Yes, see you on Saturday! ;D

I met an amazing woman at Heathrow Airport yesterday who organises the collation and delivery of Christmas gifts for families living in poverty in Romania, Moldovo and Albania and thought this may be something else that UK FP fans can get involved in. All you need to do is fill a shoe box with items from a suggestions list, suitable for all members of an average family, wrap it and forward it to her before 14th November. I know it's short notice but all of the items can be bought quickly and cheaply in any supermarket and I can help with getting the boxes to her, or put one together for you. Please contact me ASAP if you want to join us in this. For more info about the charity just visit this website.. www.linkromania.co.uk/about-link-romaniaJust wanted to report that Peter safely delivered our Christmas gift boxes to the collection point today. The organisers asked me to thank all who participated.

Buying the items for my boxes helped remind me just how much I take for granted every day; having things like basic toiletries, hairbrushes, socks, pens and paper, biscuits and sweets etc. I hope that my contribution helps and think we should defo do more of this next year.

I organised a fashion show last weekend and was amazed at how many people came along and how much we sold. Id like to thank everyone involved especially the designers who donated the lovely clothes. The event raised £1805.00 which will be forwarded to Save The Children.

I agree with you entirely Francesca. We must do this again next year. Are there any similar charities doing this sort of thing, supporting families in other parts of the world perhaps? I'd happily donate to another, in addition to this one.

It was oodles of fun to strut along the catwalk in posh togs. loved it!

Over the past twelve months the fundraising team have been gatecrashing backstage at music fests, theatres, sporting events, TV and radio shows and other celeby events in order to collect items of signed memorabelia to be sold on behalf of our charities. On Wednesday 18th our lots went under the hammer at a specialist auction. We raised an amazing £14,000!! We have decided unanimously to donate £1,000 each to Alzheimer's Association, Save The Children, The Rainforest Foundation and Cancer Research UK, and as the auction happened during the week that everyone in the UK unites with the BBC in fundraising to support hundreds of childrens' charities, we will forward the remaining £10,000 to Pudsey's Children in Need. Massive thanks to all the team, those who advised us re the auction, those who bought the memorabilia and of course all the celebs who donated and signed it. Pudsey, mascot of Children in Need.

I just want to look deeper into their ethics before bringing their details to the meeting table. Happy to hear that you are keen to continue filling shoeboxes. I have to admit how much I enjoyed participating in this too.
