Just got back from Dublin after gigging with my jazz buddies. We had a good turnout and collected £535 for Save The Children. Saxman, the gig was awesome - your sax solos were to die for. It was a wonderful night. Thank you sooooo much!!!!

Yesterday we flew in small aircrafts making aerobatics over lovely English countryside. Such thrilling moment when the planes roll over, complete circle, then dive. OOOOHEEEEEE!! I feel dizzy just thinking about it!! Welcome to the team Principessa!

A friend introduced me to a guy who performs Punch & Judy shows, and to my delight, he was happy to perform in my village for Save The Children. Everyone had a great afternoon and we raised £240.00. ;D "That's the way to do it!!"

Eeeek, my legs are achey today...LOL!! ;D Pilotadam, you say you only made £40.00. Well, just look at some examples of what Save The Children can provide with that sum ...... * a water filter, essential for health in the third world * entrance fees for 2 children to enroll in school * 3 sets of school books or 3 desks * 10 mosquito nets, to keep 10 children safe from Malaria whilst they sleep * a bicycle to provide a child with transport to school * a share in a female yak, to provide a family with milk, wool and help with ploughing * 2 months teacher training * a baby kit, to give a mother all she needs to care for her baby * 2 school uniforms * 2 food baskets, containing food to sustain 2 families for 1 month. So, you see, raising £40.00 is a great achievement. Be very proud of yourself!!

Yes, also from me! I have raised £55 by climbing to top of Stokesay Castle tower and the spire of Salisbury Cathedral. I love heights but am claustrophobic of narrow stairs you see. I was very shaky but with help of friends I did it! at top of the castle tower view from cathedral spire

I was very shaky but with help of friends I did it! So, the Princess climbed the castle tower? How very appropriate! Glad you were able to keep your head! (Sorry, bad taste English joke!) I've been in Stokesay Castle too, but have yet to go inside the cathedral. Must do so next visit to Salisbury, to enjoy that view. Bene fatto for conquering your fear.

I have just finished writing a monologue to perform for charity. I shall portray Queen Elizabeth I, in full costume. She will be in her private chapel, recounting her life to date, having just defeated the Spanish at sea. I adore the chance to step into the guise of such historical heroines. My recent attempt to capture that of Catherine Parr was well received, so let's hope I can do as well with another beloved English Queen. My costume is being stitched as I write. I just need to find a venue now within which to perform!
