Non-Fiction Concerts

I don't know if this is considered a "concert" but I just saw Chelsea Handler here in Portland and she is awesome! I also went to a book signing of hers and she signed my Chelsea Chealsea Bang Bang book. She is a bit raw and taboo, but still hilarious.

I'd totally go on a chick date with her! haha!

I've got lots of shows lined up in the upcoming weeks.

April 3 going to see Nada Surf. I'm not familiar with them at all...so that should be interesting.

April 15 and 16 I'm going to see Soulive. SO excited for these shows. Jazz/funk/r&b. Guess the first night will have a set of James Brown covers and the second night a set of Beatles covers!

May 15 I'm seeing Botti for the....9th time I think? You know he always puts on a great show so it should be fabulous!

May 17 Pearl Jam. Saw them back in 2003 and they rocked. Sure they won't disappoint!

Saw Rodrigo y Gabriela a few weeks ago! They were FANTASTIC!

Tony Levin (Peter Gabriel's bass player) and the Stick Men are coming around soon, so I think I might go check that out, too.

I saw an Oasis tribute band named 'Definately Might Be' recently, here in Shropshire. They were pretty good and we all enjoyed a good singalong! I wonder if there will be an FP trib band someday?

Chris Botti was amazing as always. I had brought a friend who had never seen him before...and isn't a fan of jazz music. She loved the show!!

Pearl jam were also amazing. They never disappoint. My fave tune of the night was Crown of Thorns by Mother Love Bone. I LOVE that tune!

I don't have any concerts until August when I see Ray Lamontagne and David Gray. That should be a fab show! I'm hoping to catch the Dead Weather when they play Boston in July.

I forgot I'm going to see the Broken Bells on June 4. Great band made up of Danger Mouse and James Mercer. I'm looking forward to it!

Do you do anything besides work and go to concerts?
I guess I would probably go to more concerts if anything interesting ever came around my area. The gas expenditure gets a bit ridiculous sometimes, and am I the only one who goes into a frenzy whenever I see Ticketmaster's inhumane "convenience charge"?

LOL I go to Celtics playoff games and Sox games as well!

Living just outside Boston gives me great opportunities to see lots of shows. My wallet is feeling it lately. I'm hoping to see the Dead Weather in July when they come to the HOB as well.

I'm in London so have heaps of gigs to choose from. This month is a busy one.... I will see Bon Jovi, Florence and the Machine, Simply Red, Richard Ashcroft and FP. Bring it on! ;D

I've heard rumours about Phil Collins doing a handful of gigs in the near future. Anyone else heard anything?

There is certainly talk of him having agreed to some gigs in Switzerland. Let's hope that is to be extended to include other countries as well. Perhaps he needs to raise the cash for his latest divorce settlement?! I'm a Collins and Genesis fan and have seen them live many a time. I'll certainly go if this comes to fruition.
